Bad news makes some people want to rip out their hair. But one Russian man claims reading it caused his to simply fall out.

A Moscow resident, who says he's suffering permanent stress and is losing his locks after reading too many negative news stories is suing Russia's Yandex News for 1 million rubles (around $15,000).

Roman Maslennikov argues that the overwhelming number of stories featuring bad news on the aggregator and search engine, known as the Google of Russia, caused him to go bald, his lawyer Vladimir Zhiganov told RIA Novosti.

Yandex has not commented on lawsuit. Mashable's request for comment was not immediately answered.

The lawsuit comes at a particularly difficult time for Russia. Tensions with the West are at their highest levels since the Cold War. And Western sanctions over Moscow's military actions in Ukraine compounded by the falling global oil price has sent its ruble spiraling and it economy reeling.
