This Father's Day, plenty of people on this earth will be celebrating their old man for simply not being Sean Penn.

The actor's son, Hopper, explained to Interview that even though Hopper is a weird name, it is relatively unremarkable given the options. Penn's original choice was indeed even rarer -- Steak.

According to the younger Penn, the idea came from a place of love.

"It has to do with Dennis Hopper; my dad was friendly with him and idolized him," he explains. "My dad wanted to name me Steak, the food, because he loves it so much."

Now take a moment to sit back and imagine Sean Penn's ecstasy when he bites into a juicy steak. For some reason, he associated that feeling with fatherhood.

Fortunately for Hopper, his mother is Robin Wright, who, "was never going to go for it."

The couple finally settled on a name based on his fetal personality,"What they told me is that I hopped in her stomach, I didn't kick, so they went with that."

You can see Penn's acting debut in his dad's upcoming movie, The Last Face, also starring Charlize Theron. You'll never believe how he got the part!
