Snapchat+ is reportedly introducing an AI Bitmoji pet
Snapchat has an answer to the question, "What if Chat GPT was man's best friend?"
The social media platform popular among teenagers is planning to debut a generative AI pet. Yes. An AI pet — for when you need a companion.
The news has not yet been confirmed by Snapchat, but apparently, the option is rolling out to Snapchat+ subscribers. SocialMediaToday and ZD Net both reported on the new feature.

Twitter/X user Jonah Manzano posted screenshots that seemingly show the new AI feature. It uses AI — how, exactly, isn't clear — to create a Bitmoji based on a real or imaginary pet.
This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.
The screenshots appear to show that you can create your pet and then have it show up next to you on your Snapchat map. That's kind of neat but also doesn't seem to add much value.
Everything has to be AI these days, I suppose. Just add pets to the list.
