If you missed your chance to get an SNES Classic when they first went on sale or weren't fast enough to get a preorder in the madness beforehand, Toys R Us may be your saving grace on Friday.

Toys R Us will be stocking its shelves with limited quantities of SNES Classic consoles on Friday, Oct. 27, Polygon reported. We confirmed with a Toys R Us spokesperson today.

Fans will likely have to line up outside before local stores open if they want to have a shot at buying an SNES Classic, which released Sept. 29.

"Since quantities are limited, we encourage customers to get in line before doors open (normal/local time) on Friday morning for a chance to purchase," a Toys R Us spokesperson said.

Nearly a month after the SNES Classic's release, the throwback console has remained pretty elusive to fans who didn't get their hands on one in its initial release window. This reporter even put in a preorder for an SNES Classic through Walmart, which was subsequently put on backorder two days before it was supposed to ship, with no status update nearly a month later.

After the disaster that was the NES Classic, for which Nintendo severely underestimated fans' demands, Nintendo promised to do better with the SNES Classic (read: make more). Nintendo of America head Reggie Fils-Aime even told fans not to pay up to the demands of SNES Classic resellers and scalpers.

Thus far though, Nintendo has yet to make enough supply to keep up with the demand, though it's certainly been an improvement.
