Disturbing images show what SpongeBob would look like as a human

Who lives in a horror filled void under the sea?

These human-like depictions of SpongeBob Squarepants and his best friend Patrick Star might make you slightly uncomfortable.

OK, really uncomfortable.

These nightmarish creations are 3D renderings, and artist Miguel Vasquez from Montclair, California, is the one responsible.

Don't fret too much though, the technology to develop actual human versions of your favorite cartoon characters doesn't exist -- yet.

Twitter was not having it.

They did make some interesting comparisons.

Even WikiHow responded with the tutorial everyone needs.

When asked by Buzzfeed how Vasquez feels about ruining the childhood of millions, he said, "That was the plan all along."

Maybe he'll take his plans to the next level with a spinoff show called "FleshBob Scarepants".
