The life of a Vulcan isn't all intergalactic adventures and heroic feats of intelligence.

A new set of ads for Quicken's Rocket Mortgage imagines a family of Spock's fellow Vulcans with a simpler domestic life, their race's characteristic emotionless logic applied to more mundane household chores -- like finding the right home mortgage.

In one, the pointy-eared couple coldly reason their way through everyday home life as their dog with a matching bowl-cut hairdo leaps through a sleek automated doggy door.

"Perhaps it is time we acquire a larger dwelling," one says.

The idea, of course, is to portray the loan service as the most "logical" option out there.

The ads were the made through a partnership between Quicken and the upcoming film Star Trek Beyond.

It seems that Vulcan logic also makes for a very fulfilling relationship; the couple has apparently been married for "104 long and prosperous years."
