You may think there's only so many clues you can glean from one three-word episode title, but frankly you'd be mistaken.

It's still a horribly long time before Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi blasts its way onto our screens, so what better way to fill the void than with furious speculation?

Since the title was announced on Monday, social media has been buzzing with possibilities -- but amid the frenzied conjecture about who exactly "The Last Jedi" could refer to, it was easy to overlook one simple fact:

Yep -- when placed together, the titles for Episodes VII and VIII seem to form the first part of a sentence.

Obviously it could be a coincidence, and the title for Episode IX may end up completely breaking the mold -- but it's also sort of hard to imagine Lucas & Co. doing this by accident.

Either way, the hype spread quickly.

Soon, though -- in the absence of any strong candidates for what the Episode IX title might be -- the internet did what the internet always does best: cracked a bunch of jokes.

The speculation continues.

H/T Twitter Moments.
