After a month of delays, rumours and counter-bids, Paul Pogba's world-record £89 million ($115 million) transfer to Manchester United was finally confirmed Tuesday night.

However, it is safe to say that the English football team didn't expect rapper and grime artist Stormzy to break the news first on Facebook.

The United fan posted an Adidas video on his Facebook page featuring Pogba dancing as he performs.

Following the leak, Manchester United made the official announcement after 12:30 a.m. BST on Tuesday with a video showing the 23-year-old midfielder with a red devil marked into his hair:

Stormzy, who had deleted the Adidas video from Facebook, posted a longer version on Twitter:

Pogba returns to the English team after four years at Juventus, where he won the Serie A title in each of his seasons.

The five-year deal surpasses the £89 million ($110 million) that Real Madrid paid Tottenham for Gareth Bale in 2013.

Pogba, who will wear the number 6 shirt at United, said: "This is the right club for me to achieve everything I hope to."
