UPDATE: July 31, 2017, 2:50 p.m. EDT This piece has been updated to reflect the removal of Anthony Scaramucci as White House communications director.

Donald Trump has decided that Anthony Scaramucci will not become White House communications director, reversing a decision from just last week.

To take stock of the situation, I revisited my fridge to see what had lasted longer than Scaramucci. A complete list:

Everything

Literally everything in my fridge has been there longer than Scaramucci's stint as incoming comms director.

Brian, if you're reading this, we're out of butter.

Original story below.

Rience Priebus is out as White House chief of staff, the shortest tenure in the history of the presidency.

It's the kind of thing that really makes you think. It made me immediately think about all the things in my fridge that have been there longer than Priebus' seven months working for President Donald Trump.

Here's an incomplete list:

I cannot cook, so it's necessary to have tasty hot sauce. It has been there since November, when I made some particularly bland rice. It has a particularly heated relationship with the French's mustard, which has been agitating for its removal.

French's mustard

I never use more than a medium-sized dollop of mustard on anything, so a nice bottle of French's will last me for quite a while. I think my current bottle is from last July 4 when we had a cookout. It has been pushing for a serious restructuring of the entire condiments shelf.

Thing of olives

I love olives, but I forget about them in my fridge.

The French's mustard thinks they're "ethnic food" and shouldn't be allowed to stay in the fridge.

Everything in the freezer

It's a mess in there. I think there's stuff from the people who used to rent this apartment before me.

Kikkoman soy sauce

Don't even get me started on what the French's thinks of the soy sauce.

Chorizo

All foods are welcome in my fridge regardless of what French's says.
