Ask yourself: Would you trust a president who listed The Godfather III as one of his favorite movies?

Presidential hopeful Ted Cruz held nothing back during a CNN town hall on Wednesday night. Asked by Anderson Cooper to named one of his favorite movies, Ted Cruz went to his typical favorite, The Princess Bride, before making a radical pivot.

Cruz loves all the Godfather movies, including, yes, Godfather III.

Viewers were thankfully spared from Cruz's dramatic interpretations of The Princess Bride, a common and painful go-to for the senator. But the Godfather III revelations came as a painful shock to viewers in the audience and Anderson Cooper, who worried that Cruz might lack the taste necessary to be president of the free world.

Cooper responded by admitting that "nobody" loves all three.

Godfather III is widely regarded as a total flop by critics and fans alike.

While many questioned Cruz's political judgement, this may cost him serious coolness points.

After the gaffe, Cruz then proceeded to do his best Al Pacino impression, because ... Cruz.
