Hell hath no memes like those made by Beto O'Rourke fans after learning Ted Cruz was re-elected to his Senate seat in Texas.

On Tuesday night, as the results of the 2018 midterm elections were being tallied, Americans learned that Republican candidate Ted Cruz — the man who jokes about being the Zodiac Killer — had received more votes than his opponent — the burger-loving, skateboarding family man, Beto O'Rourke.

Naturally, many were displeased to hear the news. So while Cruz was busy giving his victory speech in front of loyal fans, others took it upon themselves to drag him.

From cracking apathetic blob jokes to making some hilarious predictions about how he'd be celebrating his victory, Twitter users responded to Cruz's win with impressively clever tweets.

Since you're probably too tired from staying up all night anxiously awaiting the political fate of America to do a Twitter deep dive, we've rounded up some of the best for your enjoyment.

From the looks of it, Cruz has quite the celebration ahead of him. Yikes! 🙂
