No, these teens aren't pregnant, they're just sneaking watermelons into a movie theatre

That's one fruity fetus.

Some rules are meant to be broken . For example, the rule that you're not supposed to bring your own food into movie theaters. Problem is, movie theatre snacks are expensive as hell.

Instead of simply hiding food in their pockets, a group of creative friends in California taped half watermelons to their stomachs and pretended to be pregnant when they went to the movies.

Heroes Priscilla Banuelos, Angelena Silveira and Alyssa Lopez, all 18, were the masterminds behind the operation.

Banuelos' tweet documenting their adventure quickly went viral, with more than 32,000 likes and over 22,000 retweets.

"We used duct tape and Saran Wrap and they stayed, and we ended up pulling it off with no questions asked," Banuelos wrote to Mashable.

Some bystanders did give the girls attitude for being pregnant so young. Little did they know, the pregnant tummies were just fruity fetuses.

"You could tell people were pretty judgmental because we were such a young group and we were getting a lot of stares from people in the lobby," Banuelos said.

Banuelos also told Mashable about her favorite part of the outing.

"We did meet a lady, though, who told us we were really cute and [was] asking the gender, but we felt bad so we showed her the watermelon," she wrote. "She thought it was the funniest thing ever and said she wanted her daughter to do that next time."

While Banuelos, Silveira and Lopez smartly hollowed the watermelons out a bit to fit some candy, there unfortunately wasn't room in their watermelon pouches to pack sodas, making for a visit to the theater's concession stand.

After triumphantly getting past security, the little rebels broke another movie theatre rule and proudly took photos of their treats during the movie.

Priscilla tweeted the photos documenting their watermelon adventure at Bretman Rock, a makeup artist who Banuelos told Mashable inspired their prank. Rock seemed impressed in his reply:

However, one person who is probably not into this "revolution" is the poor movie theatre employee who claims he had to clean their mess up.

This watermelon pregnancy trick might work even better for getting a seat on the subway.
