Poor Telstra. After a series of mishaps with its mobile network, its rivals are taking advantage of the situation to get a free kick against the company.

Its mobile network experienced another outage on Tuesday, following recent downtime last Thursday, and also in February.

Although Tuesday's outage wasn't as widespread as the previous incidents, it's enough reason for other telecommunications companies to take a cheeky crack at Telstra's recent misfortunes.

Take Vodafone for instance, who were in the same boat as Telstra back in 2010. Since Tuesday afternoon, its stores now display signs asking passers-by if they were experiencing any troubles with its network, and advertising the company's network guarantee. Snap.

Vodafone has also announced that they'll be offering one month of free access to new customer sign-ups between Mar. 23 until 5pm Mar. 29, in a statement sent via email to Mashable Australia. It's not pulling any punches when it comes to taking Telstra's share.

Optus has been a little more subtle with its approach, thanking customers on Twitter for being with them in light of the Telstra outage mess, or showing those now thinking of switching over the light.

For the rest of Australia's telecommunications companies, Telstra's misfortune can only bring a positive result.
