The everything doughnut is a deep-fried alternative to your morning bagel

A bagel with cream cheese is a near-perfect food, save one key detail: It's not deep fried.

The Doughnut Project in New York City considered this and came up with an unusual solution they've dubbed the "Everything Doughnut."

The Doughnut Project co-owner Troy Neal tells Gothamist that the The Everything Doughnut is made from a traditional yeast doughnut, topped with a cream cheese glaze and sprinkled with black sesame seeds, garlic, pepitas, poppy seeds and salt.
