LONDON -- Everyone's favourite spoof superhero -- who's getting a pilot for a new Amazon Prime show -- has a new name to put with his blue, lycra-covered face.

The Tick, a muscular parody superhero created by Ben Edlund, will be played by British actor Peter Serafinowicz in Amazon's reboot, Deadline Hollywood reports

Serafinowicz has appeared in a variety of British and US films and television series, including Guardians of the Galaxy, Sean of the Dead, Parks and Recreation and Doctor Who.

He'll be joining Barry Josephson, Griffin Newman and Valorie Curry, who have also been cast.

If you're not familiar with The Tick, he's basically a parody superhero who works for a newspaper where he's surrounded by other, equally ridiculous superheroes and villains.

Starting as a comic book, The Tick went on to become a cartoon series which ran for three seasons back in the '90s.

In the early 2000s, it was briefly recreated by Fox with real-life actors -- but got canceled after nine episodes.

Then, in March 2016, we had some splendid news: The Tick would be getting a pilot on Amazon Prime.

Spooooooooon!
