Trump in Japan: A well-done burger for lunch with the Prime Minister

It was made with U.S. Angus beef, no less.

Ah Japan, the land of fresh sashimi, delectable sushi and all-American burgers.

Trump enjoyed a hamburger over lunch with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Sunday afternoon, as he kicked off the first part of a 12-day tour across Asia.

"We sincerely welcome President Trump on his visit to Japan! We're getting down to business right away over hamburgers," said Abe on Twitter.

The burger, according to a Japanese television outlet, was from Munch's Burger Shack, a famous burger chain in Tokyo.

And if you're wondering, Trump had his burger well-done, as he famously does with his steaks.

All of Munch's burgers are made from U.S. Angus beef.

Most people on social media weren't exactly appreciative of Trump's food choice.

To be fair, Munch's burgers do look pretty good, and have received pretty high ratings.

Apparently, this is not the first time Trump has avoided Japanese food in Japan.

The meal at the Kasumigaseki Country Club was followed by a game of golf, where the two leaders reportedly discussed trade while playing nine holes with Japanese pro golfer Hideki Matsuyama.

From burgers to fish frenzies

But Trump's antics did not end there.

Trump sparked a frenzy on social media after he was photographed on Monday while at a koi pond feeding fish.

Trump and Abe were both at a koi pond spooning out fish food, when the U.S. leader appeared to lose his patience and tipped his entire box of fish food into the pond.

And in case you were wondering, that did not go down well online.

However, others soon pointed out that Abe had first dumped his box of fish food into the pond, with Trump following only after.

Trump is visiting Japan as part of a tour of Asia, his first ever as U.S. president.

He will be visiting China, South Korea, the Philippines and Vietnam in the days to come.
