It's actually happening. Donald Trump will order the construction of his ill-conceived Mexican border wall, White House officials said Tuesday night.

More details will come Wednesday, Trump announced in a tweet ... before he deleted it. Was he suddenly gripped by regret? Nope, he misspelled the word "among."

Technically, "amoung" is an archaic spelling of the word "among" and Trump does have an affinity for retrograde ideas, so maybe this was on purpose.

Regardless, he then sent out the same tweet, slightly edited.

He didn't say much else about the wall, so here is John Oliver to sum up why it's a terrible idea.

An estimate from the analysts at AllianceBernstein put the costs of building a wall along the roughly 2,000-mile border at $25 billion.

Even if Mexico did pay for it (which seems extremely unlikely), chances are it wouldn't work, seeing as even the conservative Cato Institute says a wall "can never stop illegal immigration." Fun fact: Tunnels are things that exist

Trump will also reportedly announce a temporary ban on most refugees entering the country on Wednesday.

While the president can order a wall be built, any new funding for the project would still need to be approved by Congress.
