Is this real life?

It appears Donald Trump, former reality TV host and current President of the United States, just announced plans to impose sanctions against Iran on Nov. 5, via a fake Game of Thones-esque poster on Twitter.

WHAT? Truly what?

On Friday afternoon Trump tweeted an image of himself with the words "SANCTIONS ARE COMING" sprawled across him in the same font as the HBO show uses.

Within seconds of his tweet the Twitter-verse unleashed reaction hell on the president. Some made as many Game of Thrones references as possible — which proved to be surprisingly easy — while others were simply awestruck that this is what American politics has come to.

Many people also took the time to consider whether or not Donald Trump actually watches Game of Thrones. Signs point to no.

The official White House Twitter account also quote-tweeted Trump's announcement, writing, "The United States has launched a campaign of economic pressure to deny the regime the funds it needs to advance its bloody agenda!"

According to Trump's tweet, the White House will reportedly address reimposing Iran sanctions, which were previously lifted by President Obama as part of the Iran nuclear agreement in 2015, on Monday.

On Thursday, Trump also announced plans to sign an executive order in the coming week and urged troops stationed at the border to treat any migrant who so much as throws rocks as though they have a rifle.

As the world waits to hear Trump's additional comments on sanctions, we have no doubt that some major memes in response to his tone-deaf tweet are coming.
