As U.S. voters witnessed Donald Trump becoming their next president, many also realised that they might have to start taking Chinese lessons soon.

While Trump has thrown a plethora of accusations at the Asian nation, from saying it's made up global warming, or that it's stealing American jobs, many have said Trump as president would give China more power in Asia.

Trump's bashing of longtime U.S. allies Japan and South Korea, for instance, raises the question if China will benefit from its neighbours' getting undercut.

People also wonder if Trump can be bought -- his family's businesses have in the past been accused of benefiting from wealthy Chinese investors.

As the states slowly turned red on Tuesday night, people went to bed realising that it's time to learn how to communicate with a new, large foreign friend.

Oh, and America, you'd better get moving on those lessons. Arabella Kushner, Donald Trump's granddaughter and Ivanka Trump's daughter, has already got several years' headstart.
