Summer 2016: Pool parties are out, Twitter Parties are in.

A Twitter Party -- which usually begins after some serious celebrity drama breaks out -- involves a trending hashtag that succinctly summarizes whatever scandalous event is at hand.

This summer, Twitter has thrown its fair share of parties to celebrate the "end" of celebrities like Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber, the victory of celebrities like Selena Gomez and the deactivation of celebrity social media accounts.

Because all these parties can get a bit overwhelming, we've decided to break them down for you in all their dramatic glory.

Here are six of the most iconic "parties" that brought Twitter users together this summer:

July 2016: Kim Kardashian-West kicked off the Twitter Party season by defending her husband Kanye's honor while simultaneously tarnishing Taylor Swift's.

After Swift denied Kanye West's claim that she approved of his controversial "Famous" lyrics about her, Kardashian vowed to expose Taylor as a liar, and everyone knows hell hath no fury like a Kardashian scorned.

The reality television star decided to post video footage of the phone conversation between Taylor and Kanye to her public Snapchat story, which sparked a lot of feelings on the internet, ultimately leading to the hashtag, #KimExposeTaylorParty.

2. #DemiLovatoIsOverParty

August 2016: Amidst the 2016 Olympics, Demi Lovato sparked some serious controversy on Twitter after sharing a comment her mother made about the Zika Virus.

The hashtag appeared after Lovato posted a video to her Snapchat story, in which her mother could be heard saying, "Everybody down in Rio gonna get the Zika virus." Demi giggled in the background and captioned the video with laughing emoji.

Twitter users began sharing negative thoughts on the video, tweeting with the hashtag #DemiLovatoIsOverParty. Shortly after the hashtag started trending, the singer tweeted an apology to her fans for any disrespect.

In the end, Lovato seemed to luck out on Twitter. Perez Hilton attended her party and fans began using the trending hashtag to offer their support for the singer.

3. #SelenaEndedJustinParty

August 2016: After Justin posted several Instagram photos of himself with new rumored girlfriend, Sophie Richie, fans began to leave negative comments on his account. In an Instagram post, Bieber told fans that if the aggressive comments didn't stop he was going to make his Instagram account private.

Bieber's ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez then chimed in, commenting on his photo, "If you can't handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol..." After Justin responded to Gomez's comment, accusing her of using him for attention, Selena quickly fired back with allegations that Bieber cheated on her multiples times while they were together, which led to the #SelenaEndedJustinParty.

4. #JustinDeactivatedParty

August 2016: On August 16, following this Instagram feud with Selena Gomez and his fans, Justin made the bold decision to delete his Instagram account entirely. An out-of-control Twitter threw yet another party to celebrate the news.

5. #MileyCyrusIsOverParty

August 2016: This one is honestly a mystery to everyone -- Twitter included. Everyone just loves a good party. Miley is fine, guys.

6. #CharliePuthIsOverParty

August 2016: Just days after Twitter tried to take down Demi Lovato, 24-year-old singer Charlie Puth met a similar, yet much more serious fate. #CharliePuthIsOverParty began trending after screenshots of a conversation between Puth and a female fan surfaced.

The images show Puth telling a female fan to "die" and then blocking her on Twitter.

Puth is no stranger to controversy, and this latest mishap reminded everyone of his beef with Justin Bieber back in March of 2016, when he yelled, "F*ck you, Justin Bieber!" at a concert.

While many people responded negatively to Puth's actions, those who were uniformed about the situation were honestly just happy to be attending another Twitter party.
