Oh Twitter, will you ever be able to make us happy?

In a move that will make narcissists everywhere rejoice, Twitter now allows you to retweet your own tweets, which is great and all, but everyone really just wants an edit button.

Twitter announced the change Tuesday (by retweeting this tweet, announcing the retweet feature, from 2009.)

Previously, you could only retweet tweets sent by other accounts, which helped give rise to the tweetstorm.

Naturally, Twitter reacted quickly, with complaining about the absence of that long-requested edit button -- a point that also came up in the wake of Twitter's changes to its character limit last month. (And one that has come up with just about every significant product change Twitter has made over the last several years.)

Still, others were pretty excited at the thought of reliving their best tweets.
