New video shows United passenger was anything but 'belligerent' before he was dragged off flight
After a passenger was dragged off a United Airlines flight on Sunday, the CEO responded with a company memo that described the man as "disruptive and belligerent."
New video of the moments before David Dao was "re-accommodated" from his seat show that "belligerent" is not a word most people would use to describe him.
"I am a physician, I have to work tomorrow," Dao said as officers stood at the edge of his row. One officer told Dao they'd have to "drag" him off the plane, and Dao said alright then, that's what you'll have to do.
The interaction is certainly confrontational, but it's not like Dao is screaming and shouting at other passengers, and it's certainly not as confrontational as what was about to happen.
One thing is for sure: This isn't going to help United CEO Oscar Munoz solve his massive PR problem.
