As United Airlines continues its apology tour for the violent removal of a passenger from an overbooked flight, the company is now reaching out to the other customers who were on the plane at the time.

United announced Wednesday it's now going to refund everyone who was onboard Flight 3411 on Sunday the full cost of their ticket for putting them through that awkward, brutish hell.

United confirmed the decision in an email, saying, "All customers on flight 3411 from Sunday, April 9 are receiving compensation for the cost of their tickets."

That flight incidentally did make it to its eventual destination in Louisville, Kentucky on Sunday night but only after being delayed for several hours.

The incident, in which Dr. David Dao was forcibly removed from the plane, sparked worldwide outrage as United bumbled their initial response and experienced a shitstorm of bad publicity.

And just as United made the refund announcement on Wednesday afternoon, Dao reportedly filed an "emergency bill of discovery" against United and the City of Chicago over the incident. The bill is asking for the preservation of evidence including surveillance and cockpit recordings as well as the passenger list.

While this bill itself isn't an official lawsuit filing, it's the first step towards Dao's determination regarding one.

It also comes just a few weeks after the airline faced backlash for booting a couple of girls off a flight for wearing leggings, clothing that they deemed inappropriate.
