This ridiculously over-engineered whisky flask will cost you $2,500

It can hold two different types of whisky, though.

Is it acceptable to drink fine Scottish whisky from a flask?

Well, if you're using the new Flask 2, a crazy-expensive, over-engineered flask created by watch maker Urwerk and whisky maker Macallan, then yes, yes it is.

The Flask 2, spotted by A Blog to Watch on Friday, features way more technical accomplishments and features that you'd expect from a flask. Made of 156 parts, it has two separate titanium tanks (so you can enjoy two whisky varieties), a stainless steel mouthpiece that makes it easy to switch between those tanks, deployable winglets that create a stand for the flask as well as cask indicators that remind you what you're currently drinking.

And while all that sounds excessive, it's exactly what you'd expect from the Swiss watchmaker Urwerk, known for extremely expensive, avantgarde timepieces such as this one.

"We created a flask for people that share the same values, you know, that are as crazy as we are," Urwerk's founding partner and chief designer Martin Frei said.

It's not always easy to define "crazy," but we'll just say that the Flask 2 costs £1,995 or roughly $2,447. Then again, it's limited to just 500 pieces, so you better hurry with your order.
