If you've ever watched an episode of period drama Versailles, you'll know that they're not adverse to showing a bit of nudity.

Or even quite a lot of nudity.

Versailles takes place in the 17th century, during the reign of France's Louis XIV. As you've probably guessed, there's quite a bit of sex in it.

A quick glance at French Twitter is enough show just how damn raunchy the show is:

Translation: "The sex scenes in Versailles are crazy."

Translation: "My dad watched a bit of Versailles with me and I prayed all the gods of the world to avoid a sex scene."

Well, in an attempt to promote the show's second Season help alleviate any awkwardness arising from children being around while the show is on, French agency BETC have launched "Versailles for Kids".

Obviously it's a jokey marketing stunt, but hey -- as far as jokey marketing stunts go, it's definitely one of the better ones.

Versailles Season 2 starts Friday night on BBC 2.
