Here's your first look at the new 'Voltron' fighting a giant foe
LOS ANGELES -- We've seen Netflix's new Voltron assemble from five lions into the Defender of the Universe in some early teasers, and we've met the team that will pilot them.
But how's he going to look in actual combat? Now we know.
In this exclusive clip from Voltron, Legendary Defender, the big 'bot takes on Robeast, an OG Voltron foe (the '80s cartoon version, like Voltron, assembled from animal-based mechs: a minotaur, a snake, a wolf and a shark).

DreamWorks enlisted Joaquim Dos Santos and co-executive producer Lauren Montgomery (The Legend of Korra, Avatar: The Last Airbender) to mix old and new animation techniques to give Voltron the look and feel we all remember -- but something that's far more modern than anything the original's anime cells could convey.
Voltron, Legendary Defender comes to Netflix on June 10.
