While the gowns worn at the 88th Annual Academy Awards on Sunday had us dreaming of sleek and dazzling silhouettes, the afterparties strangely inspired our wedding dreams.

Shades of white and cream were the go-to colors of the night, from traditional lace gowns to stark wide-leg pants.

Rocking a plunging neckline and bright yellow harness detail, the Scandal actress showed she wasn't afraid to take fashion risks. For a more demure take on this look, try an all-over beaded dress with a slightly less exaggerated v-neck when you say "I do."
