'American Idol' brought back national treasure William Hung for its finale
In 2003, one of our favorite national pastimes involved mercilessly mocking a young boy with a dream and no talent from American Idol.
On Thursday, in honor of the series finale of the singing competition, Idol dragged out season 3's William Hung to perform "She Bangs," so we could all relive those simpler times.

And while Hung's hopes of being the next Ricky Martin never came to fruition, he still seems totally content with his 15-minutes-turned-into-15-years of fame.
