We don't know if Rosario Dawson set out to join every single superhero universe in existence, but she couldn't be doing a better job if she tried.

The Lego Batman and Daredevil actress is now in negotiations to join New Mutants, Mashable has confirmed. The X-Men spinoff is being directed by Josh Boone (The Fault in Our Stars) and already has Anya Taylor-Joy (Split) and Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones) set to star.

A sort of YA spin on the X-Men franchise, New Mutants will center on a group of students navigating teen angst and mutant superpowers. Dawson is looking to play Dr. Cecilia Reyes, a doctor from the Bronx who has the ability to create defensive psioplasmatic fields. She'll serve as a mentor to the younger mutants, including Taylor-Joy's Magik and Williams' Wolfsbane.

Dawson assumes a similar role in Netflix's Marvel shows. She's popped up in Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, and will return this summer in The Defenders. On the DC side, she voiced Barbara Gordon a.k.a. Batgirl in The Lego Batman Movie and has voiced Wonder Woman in a series of direct-to-video animated Justice League movies.

And in addition to all that, she's appeared in both Sin City movies and the Josie and the Pussycats movie. At some point, it's gonna be easier to start listing the comic book adaptations she hasn't been in than the ones she has.

Shooting on New Mutants is expected to begin this summer for release on April 13, 2018.
