Winter is an especially overwhelming time in the world of giving a shit about TV. We're so swamped with Golden Globe and Oscar nominations that we forget the fact that this is a hot time for show premieres. The Circle, Shameless, Grace and Frankie, You, and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina are all new, and you need to stay caught up before Twitter spoils something.

So if you're going to be glued to the screen for the foreseeable future anyway, wouldn't it be optimal for that screen to be a nice 4K one? If you're up for a spontaneous TV purchase, there are a boatload on sale this weekend that can keep your splurge in check. You can find a 55-inch Vizio TV for less than $400 or a 65-inch LG TV for less than $500.
