Amazon is trying to make a pullout ottoman bed happen and TBH we're into it

How has no one thought of this yet?

Forget the Echo Show and the Cloud Cam—this is the Amazon innovation we're here for.

Amazon's new furniture line Rivet debuted last week and while all of it is gorgeous, there was one piece that really stood out.

The Rivet Fold has a contemporary classic look. Available in two sophisticated heather grey shades, the oversized ottoman is the perfect finishing touch for your living room. It also happens to conceal a twin-sized bed inside.

As someone who loves having guests but lives in a small apartment, I can attest to the usefulness of a sofa bed. However, most pull-out couches look dated and bulky. It's a cliché for a reason that they're generally relegated to parents' basements and 20-something dudes' apartments.

The Rivet Fold is pretty on its own and, like the rest of the Rivet collection, understated enough to fit in with any decor. Plus, it comes fully assembled (except for the feet, which you can probably figure out pretty easily) so there's no risk of putting it together wrong.

To be fair, it is a twin bed so you can only host one person at a time. It's also likely not going to be the most comfortable mattress in the world. Still, when it comes to staying for a night or two, it definitely beats sleeping on the couch and is much prettier and easier to set up than a sofa bed or an air mattress.

Next time a friend asks if they can crash on the couch, tell them no but they can crash on the ottoman. It'll be hilarious.
