Globally, one-third of the food that we produce every year is going to waste. Dutch designer Elzelinde van Doleweerd wanted to address this issue and she started creating recipes that would incorporate discarded food and turn it into a printable food paste. The paste is used to 3D print really attractive snacks that are safe and can be stored for a long time. What started as a university project has now become a company that was founded by van Doleweerd along with Vita Broeken under the name Upprinting Food.
