Alexa has fully upgraded herself from playing "Despacito" during inappropriate times to turning on lamps with a (not so) simple voice command.
YouTuber Jamie Grossman created an elaborate Rube Goldberg machine that uses Alexa to turn on a fan that initiates a domino effect, ending with an illuminated lamp.
The machine took more than 40 attempts to perfect -- mostly due to Alexa's refusal to listen to Grossman when he politely asks her repeatedly to turn on his lamp. It's very likely that she was too busy soaking in her current meme status.
