It starts out all love and smiles, sure.

The cheery crew of the Covenant -- which is entirely made up of couples -- are enjoying a meal together (remember that from the original Alien?) as they careen through space to their new planet to colonise. But you didn't really think that contentment would last, did you?

The prologue, released in February, set the scene and this official trailer shows us more of the good stuff. There are explosions, the xenomorph, aliens exploding out of things, and that terrifying question: "Where is it?"

Feast your eyes.

Alien: Covenant is out May 19.
