Animal Crossing: New Horizons is just a month away and Nintendo turned up the hype meter with a 25-minute-long deep dive into what players can expect from the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch game.

Thursday morning's Nintendo Direct showed off a whole bunch of colorful gameplay moments that detailed how life on the deserted island would work and what exactly players will get to do on it. We get a glimpse at the snazzy new museum, the classic Nook's Cranny shop, and all the ways players can shape their islands, including the ability to build bridges and reshape the land in a Minecraft-y kind of way.

Plus, we see the return of a handful of great characters, including the ghost Wisp, the traveler Gulliver, and everyone's favorite government employee: Isabelle.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons arrives on March 20.
