You can now use Apple Vision Pro to help manage your anxiety.

The Lungy: Spaces app utilizes the features of what Apple calls “spatial computing” to create bespoke interactive breathing exercises and sound-based, active meditation.

Inspired by ancient meditation practices like Tibetan singing bowls, the app lets users interact with virtual instruments to create their own relaxing soundscapes. This immersive 3D environment uses RealityKit, Spatial Audio, and hand gestures, and each user can regulate the app’s immersion levels based on their own preferences.

Lungy: Spaces was developed by health tech company Pia and NHS doctor Luke Hale, who also created the Lungy iPhone app, which offers breathing exercises to people with respiratory problems.

Lungy is available as a wellness application for helping decrease stress and anxiety, and Pia is currently developing a medical device app, Lungy Health, that is approved as a therapy for patients with breathing conditions, such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Lungy Health will undergo its first clinical trial in 2024.
