Paramount has released the first full trailer for Denis Villeneuve's sci-fi movie Arrival, and it's a "proper introduction," to quote a line from the clip.
Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner and Forest Whitaker star in the film, which hails from the gifted director of Sicario and Prisoners.
When a mysterious spacecraft touch down across the globe, an elite team — lead by expert linguist Louise Banks (Adams) — is brought together to investigate. As mankind teeters on the verge of global war, Banks and the team race against time for answers. To find them, she'll take a chance that could threaten her life, and quite possibly humanity.
Arrival will screen at the Toronto International Film Festival next month before it arrives in theaters on Nov. 11.
