The new trailer for Assassination Nation is confirming rumors that the Sundance success will be equal parts obnoxious, timely, and totally bonkers.

The film's "small town turned upside down by Internet hacker" premise seems a little more Lifetime original movie than feature film. But viewers of early screenings promise that, for good or for bad, Assassination Nation will be more polarizing than snooze-worthy.

The purchase of its distribution rights by Avengers: Infinity War directors, Joe and Anthony Russo, cost a reported $10 million. So, clearly, there's something here.

The cast includes comedian Joel McHale, Disney alumna Bella Thorne, Judd Apatow's daughter Maude, the creepy (but still so hot) Bill Skarsgård, and many more.

Assassination Nation hits theaters September 21.
