These animals are bears, not chickens, but that didn't stop them from crossing the road.
Travis Platek, the son of a tour coordinator at North Carolina's Grandfather Mountain, captured footage Sunday of a mother bear and her four cubs bounding across a road in downtown Banner Elk.
Luckily, cars stopped to let the family pass, and all five bears went into the woods and on their merry way.
