Beck paid tribute to the Purple One during a sprawling set at Governor's Ball.

During his set on Friday, the Grammy-winning rocker launched into a cover of Prince's "Raspberry Beret."

After the performance, Beck spoke a bit about meeting Prince at the Grammys, when the late singer presented him with the Album of the Year award.

"When I saw him, I was overwhelmed," he recalled.

When Prince passed, he searched around the internet to see if there was a photo of them from that night.

"After he passed, I looked up that photo," Beck said. "I found out he had a big smile on his face ... it made me happier than anything."

He sure did have a big smile on his face.
