From Ang Lee, director of Life of Pi, comes another story of an unlikely protagonist fueled by loss. Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk follows a young soldier (Joe Alwyn) who returns from Iraq and is hailed as a hero -- even if he doesn't feel like one.

"It's so weird being honored for the worst day of your life," Billy says in the trailer. Kristen Stewart plays Billy's sister Kathryn, who asks him an oft-repeated question on screen and in real life: "What really happened over there?"

Between scenes of Billy's time in combat and his struggle to re-assimilate to civilian life are reminders that the soldier's narrative can be contorted and commercialized.

"Your story...no longer belongs to you," a smarmy Steve Martin says to Billy. "It's America's story now."

The film will be released Nov. 11.
