The new Blade Runner's buzz ain't done.

In the lead-up to the release of the highly anticipated Blade Runner 2049, a sneaky prequel has landed courtesy of Cowboy Bebop director Shinichiro Watanabe and experimental producer Flying Lotus, reports Pitchfork.

The short, titled Blade Runner Black Out 2022, arrives just before Denis Villeneuve's main film, starring Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford, enjoys its global release on Oct. 5 and 6.

The short chronologically sits between the original 1982 film and the 2017 sequel. You can watch the trailer for Blade Runner 2022 above and hit the whole thing at Crunchyroll. It's more human than human.
