According to the start of the nightmare-inducing video above -- a preview of the BBC's upcoming Tribes, Predators & Me documentary -- "capturing and releasing anacondas is a demonstration of strength and bravery" for the Waorani warriors of Ecuador.
In all honesty, if it was a choice between snake-capturing and a lifetime of being thought of as cowardly, we might be tempted to go for option number two.
