It's about time we started rebooting classic folk songs for the 21st century.

Just in time for St. Patrick's Day weekend, Stephen Colbert commissioned a reboot of 1913's sad and beautiful Irish melody, "Danny Boy." Colbert's new version is less depressing, sure, but also includes quite a bit more information about the narrator of the song.

Even better, Colbert commissioned renowned Irish opera tenor Karl Scully to unveil the new lyrics.
