Driver gets stuck after driving headfirst into flash flood

Flash flooding has descended on the UK, with the Met Office reporting London saw 40mm (1.5 inches) of rain in a single hour. One London driver who didn't realize quickly enough that the road ahead was flooded got himself trapped in the waters.

Despite warnings from pedestrians and another car hitting the breaks just in front, the car zooms by until it's halfway submerged. It then starts floating away.

Fortunately, the driver appears to be the same one in this video on the Daily Mirror, where he begins leaving as a firetruck approaches.
