As Mark from the Abandoned Scotland YouTube channel has shown in his latest video, you can also use them to do some pretty badass 3D mapping.
Using a combination of Agisoft Photoscan, Drone Deploy and Phantom 3 Professional, Mark demonstrates how he's able to create a 3D model of Cambusnethan Priory -- an abandoned mansion in Scotland, UK -- in the clip above.
The result is pretty damn realistic.
