Dodgems -- or bumper cars as they're also known -- can be the most or least fun thing ever, depending on how much you enjoy intentionally bumping into people. But they're not necessarily known for being super speedy.

The British inventor and YouTuber Colin Furze has built the "world's fastest bumper car" after being challenged by BBC's Top Gear to make something slow into something really fast.

In the video above, Furze gives a step-by-step account of how he made the car which travels at over 100mph and has a 600cc engine.

Not to be tried at home, folks.
