It's perplexing how many festival-goers leave their wristbands on for days, weeks and sometimes years after an event is done, but hey, it's not our business to tell people what to do. We'll leave that to science.

Science it seems, has an incredible ability to make one feel incredibly guilty about leaving bits of fabric on one's wrist for a very long time.

Hosts at Australian radio station Triple J, Veronica and Lewis, met up with a microbiologist to test out just how gross a listener's wristbands from 2016, 2010 and 2009 were. The result is just as filthy as you'd imagine.
