Helix is a collapsable, silicone syringe that is intended to reduce waste. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused huge increases in hospital and infectious grade waste. Now, as the global vaccination program is set to roll out, vaccination syringes will only exacerbate the problem.
Helix is flexible and strong enough to replace a steel needle and takes up 30 percent less space, allowing it to be packed and incinerated in larger numbers.
