"If you thought Donald Trump had already hit the hypocrisy apex, I'm sorry to report you were incorrect," Jimmy Kimmel remarked during his Thursday night monologue.

On Wednesday, a day after explosive devices were sent to not only Hillary Clinton's home and Barack Obama's office, but the New York offices of CNN, Trump not only did the absolute least he possibly could, but blamed the media for "a very big part of the Anger we see today in our society."

"Blaming the media for bombs that were sent to the media is like blaming skyscrapers for 9/11. It's mind-boggling," Kimmel said.

The late show host ran footage of Trump at a rally in Wisconsin on Wednesday, where the president called on the media to "set a civil tone, and to stop the endless hostility and constant negative, and at often times false attacks and stories."

All Kimmel had to do was show a wall of Trump's constant Twitter attacks on the media.

"These are ... nothing but hostility and false attacks written by someone who clearly must be impersonating Donald Trump on Twitter," Kimmel added.
